Wollongong Endodontics is the only specialist endodontic clinic in Wollongong and the Illawarra region. Patients who previously needed to travel to Sydney for specialist endodontic care can now be treated locally.
"We welcome open communication and collaboration — please feel free to call us at any time or visit the practice to discuss cases, treatment planning, or complex endodontic scenarios."
Every patient you refer to Wollongong Endodontics is treated as an extension of your practice. We see the referrer–specialist relationship as a collaborative one — never competitive. Our role is the endodontic phase of care; the long-term restorative relationship remains with you. The patient is returned to you for the definitive crown, onlay, or filling as soon as endodontic treatment is complete.
We keep communication open at every stage. You will hear from us when the referral is received, on the day of the appointment (the consultation report), and again at completion. If at any point you want to talk a case through — before referring, during treatment, or afterwards — call (02) 4208 0155 directly and ask for the treating endodontist. We work alongside you, not instead of you.
Practical, consistent, and designed to make specialist endodontic referrals easier on you and your patient.
For referred patients in acute pain. Call (02) 4208 0155 directly — we will do our best to see your patient the same day.
Detailed reports with operating microscope photographs sent electronically to your practice on the day of the appointment. No waiting, no chasing.
Call us before, during or after referral to discuss cases, treatment planning or complex scenarios. We are always available to talk through a case.

The clinical equipment that underpins predictable specialist endodontics — used on every case at our Wollongong practice.
SWEEPS photoacoustic irrigation for deep biofilm disruption in lateral anatomy, isthmuses and accessory canals — where conventional irrigation struggles to reach.
Up to 25× magnification used on every procedure. Essential for locating additional canals, identifying cracks, and orthograde retreatment through existing restorations.
Small field-of-view cone beam imaging for complex anatomy, calcification, resorption and surgical planning. Reported as part of the consultation fee.
High-resolution digital periapical and bitewing imaging integrated into the consultation workflow, with images attached to every electronic report.
Both routine and complex — we are equipped for the cases general practice cannot easily accommodate.
Our Dentist Resources page includes the IADT 2020 trauma guidelines and specialist endodontic resources for referring dentists.
We also accept referrals at our Liverpool practice — Southwest Endodontic Centre — serving patients across South West Sydney.
Same-day appointments are available for urgent cases where clinically indicated. Call (02) 4208 0155 directly for emergency referrals — please do not use the online form for same-day requests. We reserve time in our daily schedule specifically for referred patients in pain.
Upload radiographs directly via the online referral form (up to 5 files — JPG, PNG and PDF accepted). Alternatively, email them to info@wendo.com.au with the patient name in the subject line, or send them with your patient. We can also retake imaging in-house if the existing films are not diagnostic.
Patient name, date of birth, contact details, reason for referral, tooth number(s), urgency, and your contact details. Clinical notes and radiographs are helpful but not always essential for booking — we can often arrange an appointment and request records separately.
Reports are sent electronically to the email address provided on your referral, typically on the day of your patient's appointment. Reports include clinical findings, diagnosis, treatment plan and operating microscope photographs where relevant.
Absolutely — we encourage it. Call (02) 4208 0155 at any time to discuss a case informally. A brief phone conversation often helps clarify whether referral is needed and what to include.
Yes. Use the online referral form and select your preferred location — Wollongong, Liverpool, or either. Our team will confirm the appointment location when contacting your patient.
